How this website handles personal data.

1. Controller

2. Hosting & server log files

This website is hosted on a server. When the pages are accessed, the server automatically collects information that your browser transmits (so-called server log files): IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, and browser/operating-system details. This data is used solely for the technical operation, security and stability of the website. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in a secure, functional service (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

3. Fonts

All fonts are served locally from my own server (self-hosted). There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external font provider; no data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose.

4. Consent (cookie banner)

On your first visit, a banner asks whether web analytics may be loaded. Your choice is stored locally in your browser's localStorage under the key gg-consent so that you are not asked again on every visit. No personal data is transmitted to the server in doing so. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

5. Web analytics with Umami

To analyse usage statistically I use Umami — privacy-friendly analytics software running on my own infrastructure (self-hosted). The analytics script is loaded only after your explicit consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

Umami collects aggregated, largely anonymised usage data (e.g. pages viewed, approximate origin at country level, device type, referrer). No tracking cookies are set, there is no cross-site tracking, and the data does not leave my infrastructure — in particular there is no transfer to third countries. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (see section 4).

6. External links and profiles

This website links to external platforms (incl. Instagram, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music). When you click these links you are taken to the respective platform, whose providers process data independently. I have no influence on the nature and extent of this processing. No content from these services is embedded on this website; data is exchanged only when you actively click a link. Please refer to the privacy notices of the respective providers.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have, in particular, the following rights:

• access to the processed data (Art. 15 GDPR),
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
• erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
• restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
• objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR),
• withdrawal of consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
